[3.25 Pro] Slowwalking and GMCP |
I started a new character on Aardwolf with a brand new installation of CMud Pro and I've been playing around with the gmcp stuff. Tonight I got the mapper up and running (btw, this is so insanely easy with the gmcp stuff, it pretty much Just Works. Awesome) and found an interesting niggle when I try to slow walk.
Basically the slow walk will go one room and then abort. It's my understanding in previous versions it'd look for the prompt in slow walk mode before going to the next room. Is that still the case? I've worked around this by triggering off the Exits line with this:
Code: |
#if (%walkactive()) { #step } |
Which works as expected and gets slow walks going again.
Is this how it should be or is there another issue? |

Do you have the WAIT FOR PROMPT IN SLOW WALK option checked in the mapper config? If you do try disabling it and see what happens...

With GMCP it should be treating the GMCP data as a "prompt" so it won't wait for a normal MUD prompt anymore. This might impact your existing slowwalking scripts. It sounds like this might not be happening somehow. I'll look into it. By the way, I assume you are in Follow mode? When in Map mode you shouldn't use Slow walking.

Well I don't have any existing slowwalking scripts so I don't think it's that. This is like a completely blank slate I've started with (fresh install, no pre-existing anything, etc). And yeah this is happening in Follow mode.
Steps to reproduce should be pretty simple:
From fresh Cmud Pro Installation:
Connect to Aard
Configure the Mapper
Map a bit
Go into follow mode and try to slowwalk. :)
Thanks for looking into this. |

For what it's worth I get the exact same behavior in Imperian.
