3.23 Preferences for mxp elements

In Preferences->MXP->MXP Elements->Server

I would like to disable one of the mxp elements by default, but it gets reset every time I connect to the server

I even clicked "Save as Defaults" button but it does not make a difference....

Can you make it so my preferences are not overwritten every time I reconnect? Or tell me how I can script it to disable one of these elements?

(As it is now I have to go to my preferences and disable it every time I reconnect...)

That's the way it works for User settings, I have to re-create my ELEMENTS each time I bring up CMUD. This is done by design for the User settings, I assume it will also be the case for the Server ones, that is, they get reloaded to their default state each time CMUD comes up.

What is the point again of having a preferences for it then anyway.. or a SAVE AS DEFAULTS button then?

MXP Preferences are not like normal preferences and are not saved across sessions. You need to create an onConnect or onLoad event to issue the user-defined tags to the screen to define your tags.

Saving your MXP Preferences across sessions is tricky but is on the to-do list for the future.
