Tick Timer Message will not stop |
I am having problems with the tick timer message. Not only is it not stopping when the tick timer is disabled, but it is also being captured to other windows other than the main CMUD window.
I have made sure the "display tick messsage" box is unchecked and have had tried doing it manually vis the #TIMER command.
I am using CMUD vers 2.37. |

You can try unchecking 'Show Information Messages'. This is under Preferences -> Scripting -> General Scripting.

What is the specific message you're seeing? Have you tried running the debugger to see what message or text is causing the timer to be run?

I get the TICK IN 5 SECONDS that is being sent to my clan chat capture window.
With show trigger debug messages on, there is nothing. The TICK IN 5 SECONDS just shows up in the window. |

I believe each window has its own tick timer. Check whether the tick timer is running in each window.

Lol, that was it. Each window does have a timer.

For some reason all my windows except the session window does this. I am not sure how it happened but I definitely didn't do it on purpose. It's terrorrizing me and I don't know how to remove it. Can someone help me? |

It's in Preferences. When you open the Preferences window, make sure it has the name of the window in the title bar (it should say something like Preferences for Module: Whatever). It's in the Command Line tab of the User Interface section.

Thanks guys.
I see the help about it says:
Quote: |
Show tick timer
If enabled, display the tick timer on the status bar. If disabled, do not show the tick timer. Default is disabled. |
But I guess the reason why I get the text instead in my other windows is that I don't have a status bar there?
Anyway, I am puzzled why this feature suddenly was turned on but glad that it's finally turned off. |
