Proper CMUD path (Windows 7) |
What's the ideal path for the CMUD directory in Windows 7? I recently upgraded my Vista 64-bit Home Premium to its Windows 7 equivalent. However, while I had adjusted many of my sessions layouts to how I wanted them in Vista and their settings carried over, I've found that any sessions that I did not change then I also cannot change now. I can change the layout, of course, when I make the connection, but the settings do not stick even with Auto-Save checked and then using "Saved Session Layout" which seems remarkably like what I've heard with others having CMUD issues and settings applying. So then, what's the proper directory path so my settings can be saved? I don't see why an upgrade from Vista to Windows 7 should have changed the path, but this is where it is right now:
C:\Users\BleaS\Documents\My Games\CMUD
And that's not working. Your help is appreciated. Thank you. |

Did you try reinstalling cmud after upgrading? I assume you're on the BleaS user account, too.

Nope. The upgrade didn't make me reinstall any programs, it just ported them. Though I feel as though I may have to reinstall to fix this, I hope I do not.

Open each session for editing, to see where it is looking for the .xly file. I've had a problem where I copied files from another computer, and forgot to change that setting in the sessions.

The path that you gave in your first post is the correct location for CMUD, and that location was the same on Vista, so it should not have changed.
As Rahab mentioned, click the Edit Session action and go to the Files/Packages tab to see the exact path CMUD is using for each session. |

I took a look there and found that the path had differed. Thanks for the advice, Rahab. And for the confirmation, Zugg.

Can't those blatant spammers just be banned somehow?

What's sad is that these forums have a *lot* of anti-spam features. These are not spam bots, but are *real people* who have been hired to properly register on the forums and then post spam. And since it doesn't even allow you to post URLs I don't even see why anybody would want to post spam here in the first place.
