Old forum Scripts |
The is for Darker. I know you have alot on your plate, but I was wondering when you were going to convert the old discussion forum finished scripts. There was alot of good scripts in the old forum.

Sorry for the oversight on this. I was an @home customer (like Zugg) whose network access at home has been cut off. My base provider (unlike Zugg) hasn't been as fast to restore my service. I can see the net from work, but I can't do the Zuggsoft stuff from here.

Don't lie to us, we all know you just don't wanna do it! ;) I was actually saved from the whole @Home fiasco since I use Comcast and didn't have to get switched like all the AT&T users. *comf* Hope things get better for ya Darker!

Well, the harsh truth is, (not that the @home stuff isn't true too) it's not top on my list of ways I'd prefer to spend a weekend. It's annoying work. I was once so inept at creating databases, and now I have to deal with my own past ineptitude. Sigh.
Darmir's right of course. There was value to it. I just have to figure out how to get them back somehow. Maybe I'll just churn out static html pages of them all.
Remains to be seen.

Well, if you just need to create static HTML pages or need any kind of help w/the grunt work, I'd be happy to help out. :) I know what you mean by not wanting to do this kind of stuff on your free time, sometimes it's just not worth turning on the computer, ya know? ;)

I found it easier just to create dynamic pages than static pages. Darmir, this is all for you

Thanks Darker! How about making this page a link to the selector box for the forums.

It's linked from the libary pages under the support nav tab above. I didn't incorporate it into the forum nav because that's very dynamically driven, and this is a separate section of the site, rather than a part of the current forums.

Thanks Darker! Everyone should send Darker kudos for doing this. I know how much of a pain it was (having seen the old database too :) and Darker just does this kind of stuff because he wants to help everyone!
This thread deserves an "excellent" mark!
