Once ZMud specifically tells you your .mud file is corrupted, there's no way to uncorrupt it. Delete and start rewriting.
You can PERHAPS open the .mud file and retrieve enough bits of your code to cut down the time spent rewriting, but it's not going to be in a form that's easily imported so you will have to engage in rewriting time anyways (it'd just be less of it). This is not a guarantee, though, so it's very possible you won't be able to get anything from the file at all.
If you get back on your feet and continue to use ZMud, take extra care to keep frequent and regular backups. ZMud doesn't engage in any real data-protection schemes, so there's not much reason after this sort of event to trust the backups it produces.
Better yet, upgrade to CMud. Faster, better, more compatible with Vista and beyond, and likely more scripts and/or more widespread help when something goes wrong (tip: you may want to delve into the beta version rather than the much-older 2.37 public version). |
