general problems with scripting

I'm using the 3.x beta. new user. playing avalon. connecting fine. see the rolling text, and can issue commands at the bottom. but none of the variables and aliases I try work. don't know why. just very simple stuff doesn't work. How can I get help?

There's an icon next to the command line that has an image of a computer. If there's a red X on it, click this icon to remove the X. The red X means parsing is turned off, which will make variable names and alias calls go straight to the game as plain text.

Also, if you still have trouble, you should give us the exact script or alias you are trying to get working.
Finally, if you are going to help with testing the Beta version of CMUD, be sure to read the Sticky topics in this forum on how to post good bug or problem reports. Otherwise you should be using the latest Public Version and not the Beta version. |
