A Simple Question

Hi,

After a couple of years of absence I've decided to start MUDing again so I installed CMUD and its been great. It actually got me to realise that my function keys weren't working and I didn't have an f-lock button on my keyboard...but that's a different story...

My actual question relates to Button Bars. Once I start a session on th MUD I play I can see my top button bar for an instant and even click on one of the buttons I created and it works. My problem is that it seems like the button bar is auto-hiding and I just can't find any way to get it back.

How do I get my button bars to show permanently?

There's no autohide feature to buttons, so I guess you have corrupted settings and need to squeeze the .mud file through the Migration Guide.

Beyond that, is there any code you use to enable/disable the buttons or the class folder they appear in? Is the class folder set as disable when connecting or something like that?

Any theme-related programs like WindowBlinds installed? These interfere with old programs like ZMud, so it's possible this sort of thing could be happening to your buttons (I haven't heard of this happening specifically to just buttons, however.)

Thanks for the quick reply.

Ok, I'll try and delete the folder then for the mud I play on and recreate it. I originally didn't import any settings from a previous version of zMUD or CMUD, it was purely a clean install of CMUD and then setting up from there.

I haven't changed any setting from the default other than to allow any keys to be used as macro's, so I'll go look around a bit if anything is disabled that relates to buttons.

I also don't have anything else installed, I am running Windows 7 though, could that be part of the problem?

Just and update, I've been playing around trying to find out what causes the button bar to dissapear.

On logon to my MUD it will stay visible until I press enter for the first time. For example, the MUD's name and graphic will be displayed and the top button bar is still there. As soon as I type my login name and press enter the top button bar will dissapear. It is almost as if the display area for the mud covers the bar.
