Problems with multiple windows

I've recently set zmud up so I get channel chats/tells/club channels etc going into different windows. I was wondering if there was a way to make the command line static, so when i switch windows it will still be there? Is this possible?

The only other way I can think of getting around this is the create 2 windows, but this is a bit of a pain as I use a netbook as well and a laptop and I have limited space. Currently I have one big window with tabs on for the other windows.

What exactly do you mean by 'static'? What windows are you switching between?

I'm going to hazard a guess. I'm assuming that when you set up your chat windows, they were all tabbed like so.

Code:
 ____  ____  ____
/    \/____\/____\

------------------
------------------[

In the set up the one bing shown is the main, and the other tabbed windows are chat, tell etc.

If that's the case then you may want to look into zMUD's window docking function as described in the User Interface Overview of the documentation.

That way you can a layout like the following.

Code:
 ____  ____  ____
/    \/____\/____\

------------------

------------------
------------------

In this scenario your channel windows are at the top and the main mud window is at the bottom. Just click on the tab of one of the channel windows and drag it to the top and the docking options will automatically appear.

If you mean something else, can you provide more detail please.
