3.06 BETA (Mapper problem) |
I really like this application, but the mapper will NOT display! I have used an older version of CMUD, but this version the mapper will not display! I go to click on the mapper button and it brings up the mapper window, but after I autoconfigure it, it will not display anything in the mapper window. I went into map mode and got off follow mode and no dice. It just will not work. I do not understand it.
All the other functions work, but I cannot see the room boxes and all of that in the mapper and I've tried everything. I also followed the help files to a tee. What is going on here? Please help! I want to be able to see the rooms! I can't use it if it won't display! I need the visual aspect of the map! Isn't that what maps are for?

Make sure that your tracking your a mud object, and only have 1 map location object unless your specifically using more.
You might try reloading your layout file (hold shift while loading session). Corrupt layout files can cause a number of funky results.
Keep in mind that the help files are for the current public version, and not all of the beta features and changes have be added to the help files.
How is the "map for xxxxxxxxx" a problem, I'm assuming that xxxxxxxxx is your session name? |

Another thing to check is what zone is displaying. Sometimes the mapper starts up without a zone displayed. If the zone box is blank, click on the zone dropdown menu to see is there are zones listed, and click on one.
What does '#loc' show? Does it list the location of your character? To make sure you are tracking the right location object (or any location object at all), type: '#track myname' where myname is the name of the location object you want tracked. Most likely that is the name of your character, or whatever is listed with the #loc command. |
