How to update predefined system variables |
I had reason to use %char in a trigger. When I tested #echo %char, it gave me the name of the first character I originally made for this session, not the current one I am logged in with.
Is there a way to update this variable, either programmatically or manually changing a configuration file? I could find it |

%char uses (afaik) the character name used in the autoconnect properties for the session. You can change it by opening up the sessions dialog, selecting the appropriate session, edit session, select the auto login tab, and filling in the appropriate space.
If you're using multiple characters in the same game, you'll probably want separate sessions for each of them and then general packages shared between sessions. |

Your suggestion was correct. I had turned off autoconnect and was logging in to whatever character I wanted at the time. When I changed the name in the session edit, %char reflected this change.
Thanks, Gamma |
