Curious about installing without license.

I'm really interested in stepping up to zmud myself. I'm the only person I know personally that muds and I only mud from work. That being said, my work computer I do not have administrative rights, thus I cannot establish the license it needs to play the game (or so im told from an online buddy). If I buy Zmud, is there a way I can install and run off of my zip drive or do I have to somehow get on an administrator account.

Any help welcome :D

Thanks

Administrator rights aren't anything to do with the copy protection or licensing - simply, not being an administrator will stop you installing things. You can try installing zMUD after downloading it - it has a 30-day free trial, so there'd be no license involved. If that works, you should hopefully then be able to register it just fine.

Running zMUD off a flash drive isn't possible, as far as I know. It's something that's being looked at for future versions of CMUD, but anything relating to that is just a twinkle in Zugg's eye right now.

when trying to run zmud after installing it says, "Please run this program from the Administrator account so it can set up your license. Once the license is set up, you can run it from any account."

Often you can get into a non password protected admin account when your computer isn't set up by a professional. Just hit F8 when windows is loading and choose "safe mode". This will bring up the "Administrator" hidden admin account on the Welcome screen. If it isn't there, or asks for a password, sorry. NOTE: This is for XP, don't ask me for Vista ;)
