Add or Remove Buttons.

Hi,
I've removed some buttons and toolbars in the main window and mapper but effect not lasts after turning off a cmud. I don't know how save it and I want to avoid doing that every time I start up cmud. Any suggestion?

I would like to acces to setting Step Delay in Mapper Config too - I mean by the command or by dragging in field with value for Step Delay into Main Toolbar.

The mapper toolbars are not saved in v2.37. However, this was added in the latest 3.03 Beta version of CMUD.

Changes to the main window menu/toolbar should be saved with your session however, so if you are having trouble with the main toolbar, please give us more specifics on exactly how you are trying to change it. Also mention what version of Windows you are using.

There currently isn't any way to move the Step Delay into the toolbar, sorry.

Thanks for reply it seems that I was cause troubles with the main toolbar - I had ticked option Lock Layout. Anyway I have few more question and one possibly problem. When I start up cmud and trying to log in to mud in my output appears something like that:
Connected to host arkadia.rpg.pl
Witaj w swiecie Arkadii

}˜(Ò%œû-"™–ÊÍÆ¿—-„cõλÿ»ÿ
This is standard prompt on log in with asking for my login and password and this 'bug' is quite annoying as I can't use autologin.

I would like to know what is the difference between Room Script and Walk script in mapper - i've tried to find any information in manual but haven't found anything.

PS Is there any chance for appear in new version of cmud function or button what will allow to change a Step Delay quickly? Now when I'm attacked it takes too much time to get to properties of mapper and change it manually I would prefer to change it by changing variable or something like that.

First, check your autoconnect stuff. Open up CMud and when you get the Sessions screen select "Edit session". Under the auto-login tab, make sure everything is correct. Then actually open your session and in your main settings there should be a class called "autolog". Check in there to make sure everything is correct.

(Zugg, this has happened to me and a couple of other people, and I remember there was some specific problem with autoconnect, but I corrected it before I realized that it was happening to other people and now I can't remember what exactly it was, and annoyingly no one else will look it up in their messed up sessions for me.)

I think "walk script" and "room script" mean the exact same thing, this should probably be standardized.

You can change the speedwalk type using %walkmode and you can change the "step delay" using %pref with the SendDelay preference.

gamma_ray: I've checked auto-login and autolog class and everything looks fine. The problem is that in output shouldn't appear those meaningless strings of symbols posted above but question about character name and password. Actually in autolog class are two triggers with patterns like they should appear not with patterns like they appear so that is why autologin not works. I might add two other trigger with patterns matching those symbols but i think it will solve a problem only in half - and I don't want to do that as I like when everything works properly and for me it looks there is some problem with decoding.
Thanks for tip with %pref - its working exactly as I wanted it to work now.

Did you check to see if you have MCCP or Pueblo enabled. Also check to what your terminal setting are. Check if you terminal type is set to CMUD. Have you tried with another terminal type to see if it's any better? Try ansi or vt100 to see if it helps.

I have got enabled both MCCP and Pueblo, changing terminal type gives nothing. Sometimes (rarely let say 1 on 20 times) appears normal text but usually appear those symbols.

Looks to me like the MCCP compression implementation is messed up on that particular MUD. Try turning OFF the MCCP option in CMUD and see if that helps.

That's the same kind of stuff I get when logging into Aardwolf most times. Weird symbols and stuff. I often have to reconnect 3-4 times in order for it to register my login and password. *sigh*

Charneus: I play Aardwolf all the time and have never seen that. I'd check to see if you have any OnLoad or OnConnect events that might be trying to send text to the MUD before the MCCP is negotiated, and see if turning off MCCP in CMUD makes any difference. But I play with MCCP turned on and have never seen a problem.

Ok I've turned MCCP off and normal text appeared so there is a problem.

No. zMUD doesn't have the %pref function.
