Crossover Software for MAC in use with ZMUD |
Just wondering if anyone has been successful in using the Crossover software for the new iMAC that allows Windows applications to be installed into an OS X operating system. I have tried the latest ZMUD software and keep getting a violation or error code when I open ZMUD. It looks to install fine and all, but opening it becomes an issue. Please let me know -- I love my new iMAC but I am deeply lost without the wonderful ZMUD :)

I just wanted to say that I was successful in downloading the older (free) version of ZMUD and installing that using Crossover. Either way, ZMUD--no matter the version--is ten times better than the MAC mud clients that are out there.

Asher, 7.21 zMUD will work under both Crossover Mac Pro and Crossover Linux Pro (Office Versions, not Game)

Just following up to see if anyone has had any luck with this?
My attempts to get zMud version 7.21 working with Crossover Pro on a Macbook, Leopard 10.5.6 were not successful. Nor were the attempts with cMud. Both installations produced an access error and attempts to launch zMud/cMud were met with a similar access error.
I located some other forum posts that discussed the issue of Armadillo (used by Digital River) perhaps being incompatible with the new version of Crossover and contacting Codeweavers about this might be a good idea.
Anyone have any thoughts or ideas?
Thanks! |

I find that interesting since it worked fine under Crossover 6 Pro. I've got the new Crossover 7, but I haven't yet made the upgrade. And I only have that for Linux since I don't have a Mac, and if I did I'd have replaced the Mac OS with some version of Linux :)
