[3.03a] #WALK fails to confirm multiple moves in safe-walk mode |
Finally made the jump from 2.x to 3.03a (sorry for the delay).
After a few teething troubles (reconfiguring mapper, getting right location tracking, etc.), I have got things more-or-less working. However, I have one recurring problem when using #WALK in safe-walk mode.
PROCEDURE
- Start CMud 3.03a and log in to Mozart
- Enter 's' to exit the inn (room 1, for future reference). Works correctly, and mapper tracks my location.
- Enter 'n' to re-enter inn. Also works correctly.
- Enter '.sws' to run to market square (room 67, for future reference). Works correctly - all three dirs are output immediately, and the mapper tracks all three steps as the room names come back from the MUD.
- Enter '.nen' to return to inn. Works correctly.
- Enter '#walk 67' to run to market square. All three dirs (.sws) are output, however, NO steps are confirmed until the walk ends (all three rooms come back from the MUD), at which point it confirms the FIRST step only, leaving two left on the queue.
- Enter #OK twice to get mapper sync'd
- Enter '#walk 1' to return to inn. Same behavior (first step confirmed only after walk ends).
If I'm in fast walk, everything works. If I'm in slow-walk, everything works (it does one room at a time, confirming each correctly). Only in safe-walk mode does it fail. However, as noted, it works correctly if I put in a speedwalk path manually.
(Currently working around by using '$path=%walk(<dest>);#exec $path' in place of '#walk <dest>' in my scripts)
Apologies if this is a duplicate - couldn't find any such in a browse of the first couple of pages of reports. |

Confirmed, this happens to me as well;
I have to either use the fast or slow mode, safe fails to follow the path and only moves one room on the end of the whole path. |

Sorry I forgot to post earlier, but this has been added to the bug list.
