My Cmud

Okay i bought Cmud in july because i was reading that with vista its better. Well in the mud that i play your allowed to have characters on at once, well my cmud won't allow it. If i have just one character on ill log on and play for a second or two and the little c on the icon of the program will go from green to red every 20 seconds or so and you will hear the chimming sound as if im not connecting to the mud. when i have three characters on, it won't let me use alt-tab or ctrl-tab to switch over (which sucks when your fighting something that has to be done with three characters). What am i doing wrong?
