Docking Mapper |
I accidentally undocked my mapper and now the only way I can get it to dock is like a tab. Is anybody else having this problem. It looks like you can re-dock it like it originally was but I can't get it to do so.

Make sure your layout isn't locked (in the Layout menu). Then just drag the mapper window near the edge of your main session window and it should dock just fine.

I'm having this very same issue. The window refuses to dock. I never see the little magical popup thingy that shows where it can be docked at.
Is there a fix for this? |

I've created a screenshot after I realized that the little "docking" guide thing is ending up in the far upper left corner instead of in the center of the screen.

Hope that helps. I also tried doing a fresh clean install, wiping out C:\Program Files\CMUD entirely, with no success. |

Ah hah! I have discovered the issue.
The docking does not work if you are using the Windows Classic theme. You have to use the Windows XP enhanced theme for it to function properly. Can this be fixed? |

Zugg will have the final answer, but I'm guessing probably not. The docking features are provided by a third party component, so I'm not sure if he'll be able to modify it or get the original author to change it.
You could trying setting up the docking with the standard theme, save it and revert to classing. That may help. |

Nope, sorry, it doesn't work in "Classic" theme. "Classic" theme essentially turns off the WinXP theme engine and the docking system requires that. So no, this can't be fixed.

I can't dock any windows either. I was using a modified classic theme, switched to xp theme, but I still can't dock. The layout is not locked. Are there any other settings in layout that will help? I've tried auto, vertical... can't remember what else. At the very least I'd like to dock the mapper. I'm using ZMud by the way. Cheers.

ZMud doesn't support docking. There's a whole article here explaining the changes between ZMud and CMud. If you need help with ZMud you should put your question in the ZMud forum.

I am so sorry, I didn't mean to post in the CMud forum. The response was to a hit found in a docking windows search I did and I didn't keep track of which forum I was in. I really am sorry and thank you for pointing the error out to me.
