I am trying to load a background image and have been totally unsuccessful thus far. The image is a bmp and I simply am having zero luck getting it to appear in the editor.......What can be done about this....Hank

How are you trying to load it in? I used the latest version of zMapper (1.30) and was able to load it no problem. I opened up my map then went to Zone -> Background -> Image and selected the image I wanted.

What kind of image file are you trying to load? It might be a file format problem. zMapper can only handle BMP, GIF, JPG files.
