[3.01] Mapper window does not update when making new location |
With the mapper window open, I use a command to create a new location:
| Code: |
#location testloc 10314 red
#location |
The result shows that the location has been created, but the Mapper window does not immediately display the new location object. If I force the Mapper window to refresh (e.g. by using the mapper buttons to shift level back and forth, or by moving the Mapper window behind another window and back to the front), the new location is properly marked.
I click View/Locations, and use the Delete button to delete the new location. Again, the Mapper window does not show the change until I force the window to refresh itself.
I click View/Locations. I click on New to create a new location named 'testloc', with color red. After filling in the fields, I click Apply. In the command line, I enter #location, and verify that the new location has been created. Once again, the Mapper window does not show the new location object. But this time, even refreshing the window does not get the location object to appear.
I type '#track testloc'. The tracking location at the bottom of the Mapper window now says 'None'. The same happens if I use the menu at the bottom of the Mapper window--clicking on the original location object works fine, but clicking on the new testloc produces 'None'. I type '#location'; it verifies that testloc is still at room 10314, while my original location object is at 10318. I type '#location testloc', and '#location'. Now it shows that testloc is my current location object, but it lists both locations as room 10318! The Mapper window still shows the blue location but not the red one. I refresh the Mapper window, and now the red location appears, at room 10318. The tracking location at the bottom of the Mapper window still says None. But now I can click testloc on the menu, and now it reads 'testloc'. Now the mapper properly tracks testloc. |

Before you created the location, what was the result of the #LOC command and what was the mapper tracking? Was this done in an existing map, or a new map?
I tried your example in a session with an existing map and it worked fine here. So either you are testing in a new map or map without an initial tracking location, or else the problem is already fixed in the latest version I'm using. |

Before creating the location, #loc shows:
| Code: |
Locations (* is current):
* :Rahab at room 103018 (blue)
|
The Mapper window was tracking Rahab, and tracking correctly. This was in an existing map. If you couldn't reproduce it, I suspect it is already fixed, which is great! |
