Can't keep my triggers deleted!

I made a bunch of colour triggers in the root folder. I've tried deleting them multiple times, and they stay deleted while in the same session. But every time I open zmud again they are there again! I've tried moving them to a "trash" folder and just deactivating that folder, but they still appear in the root folder, and they are in the trash folder too now...anyone know what the deal is with this? And how to get them to stay gone! :D

Sounds like your changes aren't being saved to disc. Make sure that you've installed zMUD somewhere that it's got permission to write to.

It should be in an ok folder as I've made countless other triggers that have saved and are there when I open zmud again. It's just when I want to delete them that it seems to not save the change.

Unless I am misunderstanding what you mean.

Another thing to try is to force save. With the Settings Editor open click File->Save.

Another possibility is that these are inherited settings. If that is the case then you need to do other things to delete them.

Okay here's something else it does.

I deleted the trash folder, and it stays gone. I have deleted the triggers in the root folder again, and in the same session they reappeared after the things that the MUD sends would trigger them.

So only when text comes that would trigger it does it seem to be recreated.

I'll try forcing a save though.

EDIT

Stike that, they just come back randomly, and not all of them either, not all at once anyhow.

Just forced a save, and they still came back. In the same session, just minutes later I check and they were back again.

Sounds like you have existing triggers that are creating those triggers. Chances are it's not random occurences that they keep showing up, but based on trigger patterns. Check all your triggers to see if any of them are creating triggers...

Ahh, yes! I do indeed have triggers creating triggers. :P

Thanks! I should be able to sort this out now!
