Sigs |
Not really a problem, more of a request.
Can the size of signatures be increased over 255 chars?
Embedded small images can quickly use the allotted space. |

And also links; the varying message-part of my sig can't get very long at all these days.

I think the curent limits are fine. Although, I can see that Guru's should be allowed a little more latitude. Sorry, Shalimar, but I would think maintinaing a limit for most users and allowing Gurus an unlimited space is appropiate. I am guessing Guru's don't have a limitless signature space currently.

So.. this may be a bit silly but how can I actually edit my sig? I've went to my "edit profile" page and can change my password, set my interests and choose what to show but cannot seem to add a sig? I'd like to put my basic system info in there so it will be available on all my posts when I report that I'm stupid and can't figure something out :P

This thread is 4 years old, and your question has nothing to do with the original post. In future, please start a new topic instead. As for how to edit your signature, it is indeed in edit profile, the last item in the Profile Information section. It's pretty hard to miss though, so maybe you can't have a signature as a Newbie? Not sure about that...

Possibly due to being a newbie rank. A bit silly if that is the case.
I think a topic of "Sigs" qualifies this as being on topic indeed. I do realize it didn't address the OP's message though perhaps they could have used a less broad subject line if they didn't want other sig related items in here. Either way thanks for the feedback Daern. |
