[2.36] Slow Layout Change |
Alright, so i set my main window buffer to have a 10k limit instead of 1k.
And its usually full since i rarely close out, but just keep reconnecting to the same session.
I have a series a buttons that i turn off with #T+ and #T- respectively based on the messaging for getting/losing that spell buffer.
That in itself is not the problem, however, i have them all on the right side of the screen, and I don't have (or want) any other buttons there to hold the side panel open when i have no buffers going.
My problem is that the first buffer going on and the last buffer going off causes CMUD to restructure all of the scrollback buffer to fit the new wordwrap limit as imposed/granted by the button panel width, and that can cause several seconds of delay.
The same can be seen when the map is toggled on and off. |

That's because CMUD has to go through your entire scrollback history to word-wrap the text to the new screen size. Nothing I can do about this, that's just how long it takes to process that much text. You can set your word-wrap preferences to a fixed character width if you don't want it to be recomputed when the window size changes.
