Any chance you could make placeholder settings (trigger, alias, etc) to reference frequently used sound and image files, and allow for them to be properly transfered with the package library?

Adding files to the package library is on the wish-list for the future, but the security implications are pretty tricky so it's not trivial to do. Not something that I plan to add until after the new mapper stuff is done. For now you just need to give people a URL in your package description telling them where to download any needed external files, such as images or sounds.
