CMUD Mapper bug?

CMUD mapper has been crashing on me- seems consistent on properties of a room, exits tab(going from memory here) highlight an exit and click relink. I tried to send the bug report but it failed.

Also, in Zmud i was able to edit a room in spreadsheet view, and in CMUD this appears disabled. I am using Vista64, DEP disabled for the program(why should that be necessary?)

PS I really like the improvements in scripting in CMUD Very Happy

I can only guess, but I believe DEP may need to be disabled because of the Armadillo copy protection functionality the CMUD (and I believe most of ZuggSoft's software) uses.

As for the mapper, it was ported over from zMUD and doesn't always play well with all of the brand new features that CMUD offers. The *good* news is that Zugg is planning a complete rewrite of the mapper functionality, and even better he has recently begun it so you can expect to see major improvements in this area relatively soon.

Thanks-
I've also noticed that when I'm in the script editor- and it has the focus, cursor in the box- I hit the delete key to delete say a bracket, and I get a confirm message box asking me if its ok to delete the room that i'm in.

What version of CMUD are you using? The issue of the Delete key causing the room in the mapper to be deleted should have been fixed in v2.32.

When I click on check for newer versions in CMUD help dropdown menu, it says the latest is 2.30-- which is what I have.
Course- I'm running the free trial. I'm on day 13. Do I need to purchase to get the latest version? I'll give it a try and see if it then says there's a newer version.
Thanks! Wink

License key didn't change it- still says 2.30 is the latest. I'll download it.

The "Check for New Version" has not been updated with the latest version yet. New versions are announced in this forum before they are made available to everyone else via the "Check for updates" function in CMUD. You'll see a post at the top of this forum telling you what the real latest version is. You have to download this manually until the new version is released to general users.
