I noticed that CMud Pro attempts to install into Program Files/CMUD directory. Obviously this is where my CMud currently resides.

Do they co-exist peacefully in the same directory, and once I've installed CMud Pro, do I even need CMud installed?

By the way, although CMud (and presumeably CMudPro) runs quite happily without administrator privileges, the moment there is an upgrade available, it'll happily download the update, but fail to run/install it unless you've run CMud as admin. Modern programs just query the system for elevated privileges when they need to update themselves (see Stardock's Impulse for example). Would it be possible to have CMud do something similar when it attempts to update itself to a newer version?

You don't need CMUD once CMUDPro is installed - you should uninstall the former first. As long as you give it the same data directory as well, you won't lose anything.

Asking for privs when updating is probably just an oversight that'll be fixed in the future ;)

I'll add the update problem to the bug list. I honestly don't have a lot of experience yet with "asking" Vista to elevate so that CMUD can write to the Program Files directory. That's the problem...Vista doesn't allow writing to the Program Files directory unless you are running "as admin".
