Auto mapping doors

While walking around with the mapper on, doors are automatically added to links that don't have doors. In fact, doors are pretty much added to all links. This causes the command 'open door' to be sent for every room travelled through. I've tried a number of different speedwalk configurations, but the problem remains. I've perused through help files, but can't seem to find the magic solution. I'd appreciate a point to the help file I need, or any suggestions.

turn off auto door creation. its under config->configuration settings->strings and doors on the mapper module.
