Parsing not working anymore |
I don't know what happened exactly but CMUD doesn't recognize some of the special chars anymore.
I've checked they're all flagged, parsing is enabled, I also resetted the whole preference to default.
Speedwalk don't work anymore (.), New room neither (>), probably others too, thought (#) still work.
Anyone has any idea of what could be causing this? |

Before proceeding further, it would be a good idea to check the parsing icon at the bottom of your display. It is located to the right of the command line and it looks like a video monitor. If doesn't look like a monitor or it has a red "x" over it, click on it until it becomes a monitor without the red "x". Then try your aliases or commands again. If this is not the problem, let us know.

As I specified in my post, the parsing is enabled and default language is zScript.

Show us the exact command you are typing that isn't working so that we can help more.

Once again, I have enabled parsing and am trying to do a basic speedwalk that was working a few days ago.
The command is as follows: .esen
It tries to send a chat to my mud even though this was not the behavior it first exhibited. As to what caused it? I don't know. But before I was having the issues I did import a package from a secondary computer that had a better written set of triggers. Since then it has been screwy. Also as a general comment, importing package files should be more efficient. The business of tacking on the new package file to the old one is a little odd - or maybe I am not doing it right. Either way, I need training or an easier interface. Besides this it has been great. |

What do you mean by "tacking on the new package file to the old one"? How did you import this package? If it is an entire package, all you need to do is put the file in the right place, and tell your session to load it.
Was there anything in this package, like an oninput trigger, which might be catching your initial periods and interpreting it as a chat command? |
