[2.23] Default session text color |
Didn't we all kinda agree that the default session text color should be changed to gray? I mean, the VT100 green standard is so last decade (or two or three).

Yes, and I believe it's been changed so that it's the default for new sessions.

Yep, it was changed a couple of versions ago. But you'll want to look at your Preferences to see if you are overriding the default color. I tried not to change anyone's existing session colors, so it only gets set in a new session.
Run a fresh installation and close the Session window and press Ctrl-Q and you'll see that the text is gray instead of green in v2.23. |

Okay, so it's just that I have an old default.pkg is what you're saying. Guess I didn't realize it was changed so recently then. I've been doing fresh installs except for the last few because the data corruption errors have been going away. Thanks for the tip.

Yep, and CMUD no longer overwrites the default.pkg when you install (so that you can actually customize your defaults yourself).

Well, I've got a completely clean install of 2.25 now, and the default text color was still set to green for my session. I didn't use any old packages, ini files, or anything. Am I the only one?

Have you tried to connect to another MUD? |

Opening any session gave me a "Default session text" style with the "Text color" set to $00B300 (green). I found that there was an old default.pkg in C:\Program Files\CMUDPro\packages, which I didn't realize was even there (my bad for not deleting the install directory and just wiping out the data directory, yeah). I think that got read in somehow and converted/moved to the new location as my new defaults. I got rid of it and renamed my other default.pkg (in the My Games folder), forcing CMUD to make the new defaults, and it's now silver. Little confusing, but think I got it worked out now.
