Paths? |
Can someone please explain paths to me? I've tried recording and running them, nothing seems to work. If I want to be standing in one location, and record every move until I stop and enter a command to close the path, how would I do that?

How to create paths by literally walking/doing them
1)go to where you want to start recording.
2)enter in #MARK at the command line (this starts the recording)
3)enter all commands you want to record (careful, it will record mistakes and extraneous commands entered via scripts)
4)when you finally get to the end of the recording, type in #PATH pathname, where pathname is the name you want to use in execution (ie, .pathname from the command line)
5)if necessary, edit out all the mistakes and extra crap that got into your path
how to create paths without having to travel them yourself
1)open up Settings Editor, select New Path
2)in appropriate area of the Edit Path panel, enter in commands via the following format:
n = north
s = south
w = west
e = east
h = northwest
j = northeast
k = southwest
l = southeast
u = up
d = down
;(other commands); = going through doors and such
In all cases, if you need to travel in any particular direction multiple times in consecutive fashion (ie, north, north, north) condense it down like so:
3n = north, north, north
3)commit changes and save. |

To use a recorded path called HereToThere its
.HereToThere
To walk the path the opposite direction is
..HereToThere
Once youve done the above that might be useful too. |
