[2.20] Command line and child windows |
Maybe this has already been brought up, and if so, I apologize. But the situation is this - my layout has two child windows (one for captures and the other for mapping). Whenever I start CMUD up, the command line is present in both child windows. I've done a save for settings on both of them, and even have autosave layout checked (as well as lock layout), but no matter what I do, it continues to open both windows with command lines.
Any suggestions? Didn't occur in 2.18, so it may be just a change in programming that caused this behavior. Thanks. :)

Open your settings editor and click on each window that is listed. Be sure the Show Command Line option is disabled, and also make sure your capture windows are set to use "No network connection".
The setting for the command line is not stored in the XLY layout file...it is actually stored within the package itself (along with all of your other preferences). So make sure your package isn't marked as "ReadOnly" or anything like that too. |

Tried this, and it didn't work. Both windows are separated from the main window (one is a floating window, the other is on a different monitor). I've done a File->Save after making the changes, and have also made the change and clicked the Save button. Package isn't marked as ReadOnly. Don't know what's going on.
On another note, since the database issue hasn't been fixed yet, I'm having to do a dbload each time I connect, then closing the database right after the load so that it doesn't interfere with my %db functions in scripts. However, where it used to work with the main window in 2.18, now it opens the database for my mapper child window, and will not work from the Main command line. Just a side note on that.
