Command Line Overwriting |
I just upgraded to the most recent version of Zmud, and I'm utterly horrified and completely annoyed at the fact I can not go back and change anything within an already typed command line without having to retype the entire string, due to overwriting. I can't find a preference or setting to turn it off, or any hot key. Is there anything I can do to stop it?

X that one.
For those who are having the same problem, set EraseCommand under [Settings] in zmud.ini to 1 instead of 0.
Overtyping sucks!
EDIT
Or apparently, this is a bug. EraseCommand setting does not affect it. Rebooting Zmud fixed it, however. |

Not a bug. Directly changing zmud.ini won't enact the changes because it's only used when starting up ZMud. For the most part, if you want a change to happen immediately you have to do so via the Preferences window. There's an option in there called Autoclear command line that handles this.

I'm not sure I know what you mean by "overwriting"--do you mean that characters are not inserting, but overwriting what's there? If so, you must have hit the "Insert" key. This is a Windows feature. Hit "Insert" again to get back to the normal mode.

Didn't realize the insert key actually /did/ anything. Thanks, though.
