[v2.18] question: Middle mouse scroll on non 'primary window' ? |
I have two windows within the 'same window' one for the mud and one for communication.
i can use my middle mouse button and scroll through the active window when it is the 'primary' (mud) window.
I cannot when my active window is the communication window. is there a reason for this?
This is windows xp, have not checked my vista box yet. |

My scroll wheel works in child windows and the main window.

do you click in the child window to give it focus (i have to), or are you trying to do it with the main window still having focus?

I click into the child window (it turns orangish) and try to use the middle mouse scroll to scroll... it won't.
I can click the middle mouse button to bring up the 'scroll pane' but it won't scroll w/ or w/o it. |

ok, after using suggestion to fix other mud's automapper layout corruption, i was resetting up my layout and had to unlock the layout in order to move everything back to place, and i got to thinking... what about this problem.
so I went back to this mud, unlocked the layout.
tried to scroll, did not work
moved the child layout to its own display window
tried scroll, it worked.
moved that communcation window back to being 'linked' with the primary mud window,
now scroll works on both.
I relocked the layout,
it still worked.
I did a #save, to save my layout (read it in another thread) (to make sure it saved)
then restarted cmud,
the scroll no longer works.
I'd really rather not have to unlock layout, move things around, then relock every time i want to scroll. |
