zMUD & MS Agents

Hi, I purchased my copy of zMUD a couple years ago and have been very happy with it. I've been wondering if there is a way to make text-to-speech programmes like MS Agent work with zMUD (if you use mIRC of Microsoft Office, you'll know what I mean)?

Here is a screenshot of what I mean:
- IRC Client
- Microsoft Word

This would be a really neat feature to add on if it doesn't exist.

There's a plugin called MudReader that'll do this - I've never used it, but I've heard of people that do. You'll find it here.

zMUD's now feature complete, so support for this won't be added natively.

I personally love MudReader. It works great. And if you search the net you can find many additional voices to add to it. I normally use the British voice set. It's great on the MUD I used to play where you could have up to 15 lines of weapon hits (special from one guild, most could only get up to 9) plus 2 blank lines, and 1-3 spell casting lines EVERY two seconds (a combat rounds on circlemuds) and there are some things you could easily miss in all that which are important to know. Such as certain protection spells wearing off or special affects from spells casted against you. So I would trigger off the text of those and have zMUD tell me :D

I also found it great for setting up and autotraining script. I could go afk and allow the script to run. When it was finished zMUD would speak that it was and I could come back and start playing again.

Ooh, thank you so much, Fang! That's exactly what I was looking for.
And huh, the search never picked that up when I looked.
