partial background

I am trying to add multiple backgrounds in the asme zone. Si, for an example, I am wanting to make the north end of a city with a yellow background, and the south end of the city with a red background.

How can I do this with zmapper?

Yes, one large background that covers both areas. Wink

I hope that's not the only way. They will not be as precise as I need them to be that way.

Can you not draw a square (for instance), fill it with a color, and then send that square "behind" the rooms, but in front of the background?

There's no way to set the z-order of room objects. You can attempt the same effect, as predetermined by any size limits in the shape/bitmap editor but that's about it.

Well that is not good. That was really the only reason I purchased the mapper. Any chance that the mapper will be updated?

A new cMapper product is scheduled for sometime in 2008, but I don't have any specific ETA or feature-list yet. It will be a free upgrade for zMapper users, but it will only work with CMUD and not zMUD.
