[1.34] Package Library |
I just bought cMud and I have a question how the package library works.
I downloaded and installed a package from the library, but I don't see it anywhere.
How do you access it? I don't see it anywhere. |

The packages you download should be in the packages directory. You can add them to your session by editting the session if it isn't opened, or if you already have the session open then open the package from the Package Editor.

Thanks you for the help. I figured that out. Let's say I want to always load that package when I open a session to a certain mud with the mud name package. I tried a few things and couldn't get it to open with the mud-name package.

You can either rclick the session icon, choose properties, and on the Package Files tab, click the plus icon. Navigate to the .pkg file you downloaded from the library and add it (you can also use the hand icon to add packages directly from the library).
If you have your session open, in the Package Editor, just do File->Open and find the package. A new tab should appear with the name of that package on it.
If you download from the package library while a session is open, anything you download will be automatically added to the session. |

When I downloaded the packages I had the session open and the packages didn't show in that session.
So I added the package the other way and it did open a new session, but when I reopened my mud session the new packages I added didn't show up.. |

Yeah, just because you download a package while you have a session open doesn't mean that you want to install it into that session, so that answers your first point. (Maybe you should be prompted as to whether to add it to that session though.)
