Auto connection problem |
Been having this problem where I can't idle on my mud for more than 20 minutes before zmud reconnects me. I dunno why, my internet connection is fine. It does this for ALL of my 40+ characters on this one particular mud, no one else seems to have a problem idling for hours.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance! |

Your MUD may have a timeout session that sits at 20 minutes. A lot of MUDs do this to keep people from idling too long. A MUD I used to play disconnected after 90 minutes. You can get around it with an anti-idle trigger, but make sure you aren't breaking any MUD rules. :-)

The mud allows players to idle according to this scheme...
Players can idle as a statue for 30 minutes + 30 minutes per level.
Examples:
Level 1 can idle for (1x30) + 30 minutes) which is 1.0 hour
Level 2 can idle for (2x30) + 30 minutes) which is 1.5 hours
Level 3 can idle for (3x30) + 30 minutes) which is 2.0 hours
Level 4 can idle for (4x30) + 30 minutes) which is 2.5 hours
... and so forth, so for higher levels:
Level 10 can idle for (10x30) + 30 minutes) which is 5.5 hours
Level 20 can idle for (20x30) + 30 minutes) which is 10.5 hours
Wizards can idle indefinitely until reboot.
I'm level 32. I shouldn't be kicked after 20 minutes. |
