[2.06] With map open, clicking on the Map icon does not close it

If you have the mapper open, the Map icon on the main toolbar gets highlighted. If you close the mapper via the X, it becomes unhighlighted. Fine so far. But with the mapper open, if you click on the highlighted Map icon, you'd expect it to close the mapper and it doesn't - it just becomes unhighlighted. You can now keep clicking on it to change whether or not it is highlighted, but nothing else happens.

Also, selecting Hide on the Mapper Window does not unselect the Map icon on the main toolbar, although clicking it still makes the Mapper reappear, and now the Map icon is unhighlighted, but the map is open. Clicking it again gets it back in sync.

This is one of the many issues that I have talked about where the mapper was ported from zMUD and is not fully integrated with the CMUD user interface (like the docking system). I've done as much as I can to make it mostly work. But further work requires a lot of design changes and is going to wait until I rewrite the mapper to use SQL.

So, unless the mapper is crashing, don't bother reporting UI issues like this. It doesn't interfere with the mapper working or not and it just isn't going to get fixed until I can spend a major amount of time on the mapper.

Yep, I hear you. And it's definitely very high on my priority list. More on that in another post soon :)
