[2.06] Room Properties Window

The Room Properties window in the mapper doesn't seem to remember its last used size and position.

Neither does the Room Color picker window from the Appearances tab.

This kind of mapper tweaking won't really be done until the mapper rewrite for CMUD.

I only mention it because in the previous version [2.05] , the window did retain last size and position.

In fact, it now opens so small that i have to stretch it open to view all the basic information.

You would think the default size would not be undersized.

For me, the Room Properties window does save its last used size and position, even after closing and restarting CMUD. (The color picker does not, however, even when reopening straight away.)

Yeah, nothing changed with that in the latest version...I haven't touched the Room Properties code in a long time. And it still saves for me here too. It gets saved to your main CMUD.INI file.

The color picker is the standards Windows color dialog, and I don't have a lot of control over that. But since the color picker will eventually be replaced with something better of my own, I'm not spending any time tweaking that old dialog.

Anyway, was the problem in a fresh install to a new directory, or did you maybe have an existing CMUD.INI file that might have had wrong size information in it?

I am finding that the color picker is not coming up on top as it should, so I have to move the properties window to an out-of-the-way place before I invoke the picker. Otherwise it will hide behind the properties window and, being a dialog box, there is no way to access it. This is in 2.09

Make sure your Room Properties window is *not* marked as "stay on top". Click the icon in the upper-left corner of the window to check it. Windows can't deal with multiple stay-on-top windows, so when you invoke the picker (which is a stay-on-top dialog), Windows doesn't know which window to put on top anymore.
