(1.34) How to disable mapping levels |
My mud uses NSEWUD directions - when I move up or down while mapping the module creates a new level either above or below the current one. I would like to disable this, so all rooms are created on the same level. Is this possible? Ideally, the new room would appear to the side of the old one, rather that stacked, also.

I don't believe this is possible. You might be able to script this behavior with zMapper or CMUDPro using the zMapper functionality that's built-in to CMUDPro.

I haven't found a way around the levels being created automatically either. A work around I do is create a room and just link it manually to the up/down direction. Little bit of extra work, but only takes 15-20 seconds.

If you use the View/Directions and select your Up or Down direction, you can set the Mapper direction to some other direction (like north, south, east, or west) and then it will create the new room in the specified direction instead of creating a new level.
