neither "Find location on MUD" button or #FIND work
 
no idea why, they worked fine in zmud but nothing happens when i do it in cmud, it doesn't even send "look"

Select "Map Properties" from the Edit menu in the mapper window and then click on the "Strings and Doors" tab on the left. Make sure your "look" command is set properly. It doesn't work if that field isn't set.

You should try reconfiguring your mapper. The mapper tries to capture the room information (based on the configuration) and find the room that best fits the description. You should also check if it happens for every rooms or only specific rooms.

ah reconfiguring it worked!

I guess it lost the settings from the transfer from zmud to cmud or something

it works fine now thanks :)

It's a bug with the mapper module itself, given that it happens in ZMud as well and that CMud's mapper is a direct copy and paste (with very minor changes to avoid access violations that disable CMud) of the ZMud code.

I don't know why or how it happens, but sometimes the configuration file gets disabled in some fashion such that find, update (the magnifying glass), and even simple movement around the map no longer work. This always happens to me when I compress the mapfile, and sometimes happens on its own.
