ZMud chat type script?

Is there a script, or perhaps a plugin/addon, that lets ZMud users chat with each other? Preferably something that can also run through triggers? I've been playing a game that allows seconds to help you all they want, and I want mine to help me in combat. I want to be able to control 'em through msgs that don't get sent to the MUD though, because lag is terrible(I think they really need a new host). Is there a way to do it?
