problem with zmud on zombiemud

Hi Guys,

first I am a Noobie, no a complete NOOBIE, or even worse.

I am running the 30 day trial of zmud, actualy the version from the medievia website (includes their font). I decided to try zombie mud and it worked fine for a couple of days until I tried to change the defalt prompt....

I am not sure if this is what caused the problem, or if it was co-incidence, but I am gonna describe what happened

I was having trouble getting the promt to function, and some one on newbie channel said " if your using zmud you need to press ctrl-r after entering the prompt command, before hitting enter". I did this once, without problem, but when I did this a second time i got a word in Arabic in my input bar, and the game locked up (I am in the gulf). I re-booted the PC but now when ever I log into zombie mud the client enters a 'c' command which means create character. I cant seem to stop it doing this.
Probably not a big issue if you know what to edit, I tried but failed to stop this in ofline mode.
The game works fine on another client, it's just an issue with Zmud.
Hope someone can help me with that problem.

Thanks for any help, and please remember I am a noobie at muds and clients :)

My guess is that you have accidentally turned on the auto-login feature. Either that or you have again accidentally created a trigger that is sending c when you log in.

If it is the auto-login feature you can click on the Zombiemud icon when you first start up zmud and click edit.

Then click the character tab and uncheck the auto login checkbox.

If it is a trigger that you created then go into the trigger editor and look for a trigger that has the same text that the game sends when you log in. Delete the trigger and you should be good to go.

I have solved the problem by deleting the zombiemud files and starting a new game shortcut, using the same name as I originally used inside the mud. Crude method, but hey what ever works :-)
