Taskbar Updating |
I'm using several tabs for keeping track of several windows using the #capture command to capture various channels on the mud, i.e. Chat, Wiznet, etc. However, since I'm often in other applications working on scripts/building for the mud, I often check the mud when I see the Main Icon on the taskbar turn green.
Its become rather annoying to have to click on the other tabs, which are basically just keeping track of the channels/syslog with added time stamps.
Is there a way to turn off the 'Update Main Icon with Status' for the seperate tabs, but still keep it on for the main mud screen? The 'Update Main Icon with Status' in the preferences/Window Options turns it either completely off or completely on for all of the 4 various tabs.
Thank you,
Scott |

This feature's been requested before - it does seem like a good candidate to keep in the package instead of globally. Perhaps the global option could be kept as an override, but have an option for each window as to whether or not text in that window causes the taskbar icon to update.

So in other words - its a feature that hasn't been implemented yet?
Or are you saying, store the tabs in packages instead of globally? |

If you click on the drop-down menu in the top left corner of the preferences window, there's an option to show global options in bold. The taskbar option is one of those.

It's a feature that has been requested and might someday be implemented.
If you have your hearing, you could turn off the global notification and set up a #BEEP trigger just for the window(s) you want to monitor. |
