City of Heroes |
Would this be moddable to work with City of Heroes? That game uses /loc with an output of x,y,z coordinates. The map files are included in the client files if you know how to play with .pigg files, if that makes any difference

It should be. zExplorer can display a database of locations on top of any graphics file. If you have any reference to .pigg files, that might help...I've never heard of those. It's easier for me to support games that I actually play myself, and I haven't actually tried CoH. But if it has a real world-based map (not zones like EQ) and has a /loc command, then maybe I'll give it a try.
If it helps at all, the *.MDB database of locations is actually a map database created using zMapper. Each icon is just a custom room type with a bitmap. In the zMapper Zone menu you can go into the Background submenu and set the background image, and also control the scaling/conversion between the map pixel coordinates and the game X,Y coordinates.
I've had a bad track record of the games that I supported with zExplorer, and I hadn't heard much success from City of Heroes, which is mostly why I've ignored it. I didn't want to support yet another game that didn't have anyone playing it (e.g. Horizons). |

Just took a quick look at some CoH sites, and it looks like CoH is completely zone based. zExplorer is better suited for games with a single world, sorry.
