Conversion Problems

Hi! I'm experiencing some odd conversion issues with only one of my sessions. Every time I try to import from my old zMUD session, then check the session properties, the path to the file is truncated so the session loads with no settings. If I manually enter it then save, it still truncates, so again, no settings. I finally got it to load between converting the old zMUD settings to a package, making a clean session, then installing the package...Yet things still don't work properly. I'm not sure if this is due to scripting changes (possibly, sorry if so) but they worked great in zMUD.

Example:

An alias, heal, that evaluates to "cast heal"

In zMUD I could use "heal target" and it would send "cast heal target" to the game.

In cMUD, I now "heal target" and it only sends "cast heal" to the game.

So my questions are, I guess, what issues could my settings file possibly have?
And do I need to do through every single alias and add %0 to the end of it?

Sorry if this is all jumbled, but it's about the best I could explain it :D

Have a look at this knowledge base article. In short, you can either check the Auto Append option, or add %-1 or %params.

So sorry! I just found that after posting Embarassed

Any ideas on why my settings path would truncate, though? I worked around it, but am still curious as to what may have caused it.

What exactly is happening that you're describing as "being truncated"? If you manage to reproduce it every time with a specific file, email the file to support@zuggsoft.com; if it does it every time with any file, I'd try reinstalling.

Here's some screenies, and it only happens with one certain .mud file:

Editing settings for a session, with the default (untiled.pkg) package automatically loaded: http://gotr00t.us/images/nopkg.PNG
Picking my .mud file to import and use: http://gotr00t.us/images/pickingmud.PNG
The .mud filename not properly showing in the settings dialog: http://gotr00t.us/images/didntsave.PNG

Note in the 3rd picture the filename isn't complete, and neither is the file path.

I've never seen that before; when I type that same path in the box manually it works fine. Sorry :(
