Windows not docking correctly |
I have been trying to days to create a layout in Zmud. I can create capture windows and they are working just fine. I want to be able to dock my windows like in this picture:

I basically have my windows just floating.. when I try to dock them, the windows just trying to dock accross the entire top of the screen...is there some resizing that I need to do. i have read a bunch of posts on this and nothing I do is working. I am using zmud 7.13
Thanks

Yes, when it's trying to dock across the top of the screen, you can drag it to the other edges of the screen and have them dock there. These windows are docked on the left and then on the bottom.
Incidentally, CMUD's docking engine makes layouts like this MUCH easier to create. |

Have you let it dock at the top and then tried moving which edge it's docked to? I created a test window and was able to drag it to anywhere I liked, but it was created docked.

I have tried that. What the heck am I doing wrong? Once docked to the top, the sides will not move (can't resize it)

You won't be able to change its horizontal size once it's docked at the top since that's controlled by the window width. You'd end up with a blank space anyway. If you dock another window to the top a separator will appear, which will be movable.
