opening a new connection

When I open a new connection the zmud window that opens is not maximized. Rather it might be full screen or such but it is still minimized. I was wondering how I get zmud to open up so that the window for zmud is maximized.

I'm talking about so that it has to two squares next to the X, not one square, in case the above was confusing.

Thanks for the help!

Easiest way is to right-click the shortcut to zMUD, choose properties. It should bring up the properties page on the shortcut tab. In the drop-down menu next to Run, choose Maximized. That should fix your problem.

**EDIT**
Apparently, this did not work. I'll see if I can find a way. :P

That didn't fix it. When I open zmud up its fine. The problem occurs when I connect to my mud. Once I connect to my mud the window size gets messed up.

Anyone got any ideas?

When I open zmud the program is Maximized, but when I open my connection to my mud, the window fills the whole screen, yet it isn't maximized. It would be really helpful if I was able to make it load maximized!

Any help is much appreciated!

I think this might be a bug, I get the same thing where it fills the screen, but I need to restore, then maximise again for CMUD to realise it's actually maximised. Hopefully it'll be fixed in one of the next releases. Zugg has been on holiday since Xmas but I think is back shortly so we should see a flurry of replies from him any day now on various bug reports.

Apart from that this is a zMUD question, Guinn, and so probably won't be fixed since it sounds difficult to reproduce.

I don't remember if zMUD keeps its layouts in the .mud files - if it doesn't, it'll be enough to create a new session to the same mud and then change its .mud file to the old one. If it does, you'll need to export your .mud to .txt, make a new session and then re-import the .txt into a new .mud file.

Did you save your layout? While it was maximized? Settings and window features (except, I think, position) is stored in the .MUD files. The layout files contain positions and status information such as maximized.
