zMud maps in CMud

I've spend ages on mapping out my mud completely in zMud and now I'm about to switch from zMud to cMud. Can zMud maps be imported in cMud now or maybe in near future? Or should I do all the mapping all over again when I take the step to cMud?

Yes, the CMUD mapper IS the zMUD mapper at the moment. The files are exactly the same.

In the spring, CMUD will be getting its own totally new mapper that I think will be using another file format. But I'm sure there'll be an import function, for exactly the reason you just gave.

I certainly hope there'll be an import function, cos it'd suck to have to remap this :P

Actually my mapper becomes unstable when I import my zMUD maps into it.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times. As soon as my old map goes in the CMUD mapper acquires odd problems: the map impage flickers each time I move a location and if I move too quickly (manually, not with speed walk) it loses track of me.
It also ceases to recognize the #FIND command...
Don't know what could be causing it...

#find is known, it's because the window appears behind the CMUD main window, as I recall. It's there, though.

What's odd is that the #FIND works for me (and I have my mapper docked. I can't get the mapper to follow me though, although admittedly i haven't spent much time with it. I recall seeing discussion on it, I guess eventually I'll get around to reading them. Smile

once again, if your mapper is docked (and auto hidden) you can make it follow you by replacing "n" "e" "s" "w" etc with #move n;~n etc
This moves your position on the mapper just fine and is the work around i currently use when i'm not busy being grumpy at cmuds command line parsing of %pass
