Notifier

I use this script as a notifier
#if ($number > 5000 AND $number < 7700) {#BEEP}
but I can barely hear the beep so I tried to substitute #PLAY file but it doesnt work. Why?? |

Try turning up your volume.
And for #PLAY to work best you should supply the full file name. |

heh....its not a matter of volume. #BEEP is just more of a dull thud. As for #PLAY ..I have used the full file name...just anything other that #BEEP wont work.
I can use the same #PLAY command on a following line and it plays fine...but NOT as a result of the notifier string. |

odd.... have you thought of going into sounds and changing the .wav file played by the system when it wants to beep?

put the mysound.wav or mysound.mp3 file in either your cmud folder, your session folder, or your session/sounds folder and do a #PLAY mysound.wav or if you are putting in a path to a sound then do #PLAY "c:\path to\my sound\mysound.wav"
If you are having a problem with something not working post the script that isnt working, just saying #PLAY doesnt work it means I have to find my tin foil helmet and try and read your mind. |
