tabs for packages

Is it possible to have a package loaded that is not displayed with a corresponding tab. Also, is there a way to hide them in the tree view? An example of why is with the 'English Directions' and 'English Keypad' packages. I don't need to navigate to them ever, so there is no need to have them as a tab. But when I try to remove the tab, it removes the whole package.

I dont think theres a way of hiding a tab.. a hide option would be quite a nice idea though, i see what you mean.

You can hide those default packages - it's the "Show Default Packages" option on the view menu of the package editor. You can't hide the main session package or any others that you've created or added yourself, though.

I'll consider adding an option to hide a tab. Right now, only packages listed in the "Default packages" list are hidden (if Show Default Packages is turned off).
